“Bring a smile by first act of
donating”
The students of LJIMS came out of their
comfort zone and did a bit for the society. The students of MBA Ist year took
an excellent initiative of collecting old clothes, shoes, utensils, clocks,
pillows, caps, toys, notebooks etc. from LJ folks as well as from the residents
of Bopal, Vastral, Jivraj Park and Paldi and donated them among the sweepers,
watchmen and to the workers of LJ canteen as well as the people residing in
slums of Gulbai Tekra, Vejalpur and Bopal.
The
idea was conceived by the students of LJMBA, namely, Varun Pujara and Rahul Gosai & well supported by
entire LJMBA family including the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Siddarth Singh Bist and faculty members,
Dr. Shweta Patel and Ms. Sushma Jacob. It was a unique initiative and a huge
success as more than 550 pairs of clothes, more than 100 pairs of shoes and
other items, like, sweaters, clocks, schoolbags and utensils were distributed
to the underprivileged. The enthusiast
volunteers have bowed to do the same thing twice a year.

Faces shining with happiness, smiling faces of children....thats all sparkled the Diwali of LJMBA students who distributed clothes, toys, footwear etc. contributed by institute professors and students, to poor.
